CES Carbon Offset Initiative:

As part of CES commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainability, we ask attendees to consider a small carbon offset contribution that will be used to purchase tonnage of carbon offsets from a Canadian company called Less, a division of Bullfrog Power.  Global air travel causes approximately 2% of the world's carbon emissions. Many airlines are working on alternative aviation biofuels in an effort to develop a renewable option to eliminate air travel emissions. But currently, biofuels are not a viable option.  Less was born out of a need to give Canadians a way to take action on their air travel-related emissions today.

Below are some options to assist you in offsetting your carbon footprint.

Volunteer Opportunities
Our conference will rely heavily on volunteers to help get things done.  Please note: As our event is almost entirely volunteer-organized, we are unable to offer any subsidized registrations for conference volunteers at this time.

[If yes] We thank you very much for your interest in volunteering for the CES 2019 Conference. We look forward to meeting you!

[If yes] We will send you a list of volunteer opportunities in the weeks leading up to the conference using SignUp.com.

Session hosts/moderators welcome participants to the session and introduce the presenter and the topic. They also ensure presenters are in the room and if needed they support presenters in managing questions on their presentation and managing the time of the session.
